Read it aloud

Explore the Flags can read content aloud using your device's built-in speech. Quiz questions, answer choices, country details, and native greetings can all be spoken, so the app works for pre-readers, emerging readers, and children who learn better by listening. Every greeting is also spoken in the country's own language.

Adjustable speech

• A speech-speed slider (Slow, Normal, Fast) lets you match the pace to the listener.
• A voice picker lets you choose from the voices installed on your device, including Siri voices.

Visual comfort

• A full Dark Mode for low-light use and reduced glare.
• Large, brightly color-coded buttons with clear icons and big tap targets, designed for small hands and developing motor skills.

Sound you control

• A single switch mutes all sounds and speech.
• There are no harsh or punishing sounds. Wrong answers are met with encouragement, never a buzzer or a shaming noise.

A calm, encouraging design

The app is deliberately gentle. Mistakes are treated kindly, with supportive messages instead of penalties, which helps children who experience anxiety or who learn differently. There is no flashing or strobing content.
